Newish Communications is Queensland’s first student-run communications agency, founded at The University of Queensland. The agency brings together students from advertising, marketing, communications, economics, and IT to deliver real-world creative and strategic solutions for clients. Operating as a work-integrated learning environment, Newish allows students to apply classroom knowledge to professional projects while producing commercially relevant outcomes.
Project Overview
Newish Communications is Queensland’s first student-run communications agency, based at The University of Queensland. The website serves as an informational platform for prospective clients, students, and partners, outlining the agency’s purpose, values, people, and history while reflecting its professional yet student-led identity.

Process
Design (Figma)
- Designed the About page layout in Figma
- Structured content into clear sections
- Established hierarchy using typography, spacing, and imagery

Design (Elementor)
- Translated the Figma design into a live page using Elementor
- Built responsive layouts using sections and column
- Adjusted spacing and typography to maintain design fidelity
